Kenneth E. Hazlett, 51 of Batavia, passed away at his home on Monday June 10, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born August 28, 1961 in Batavia to the late Ferris (Carole Penders 2002) Hazlett (2012). Mr. Hazlett worked for many years at Chapin Manufacturing in Batavia. Kenny enjoyed camping, spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered by many as an excellent Little League Umpire, a passion of his for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife Darlene (Higgins) Hazlett of Batavia; children Michael Hazlett and Kristen Hazlett, step children Matt Johnson and Sarah Higgins, brothers Ferris (Bonnie) of E. Bethany; Thomas (Cathi) Hazlett of Batavia; sisters Sheryl Hazlett, Grace (Richard) Stewart, Michelle (Dan Nichols) Hazlett all of Batavia; Lisa (Robert) Doran of Pavilion along with a granddaughter Aria Gayton and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday June 12, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM at the Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. 11:00 AM Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 13, 2013 at St. James Episcopal Church 405 East Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. Interment will take place in the Pavilion Cemetery.
