Beatrice M. Chapell

Byron - Beatrice M. Chapell, 86, of Byron, an employee of Bausch & Lomb, prior to her retirement, passed away Tuesday, (July 2, 2013) at Unity Health System, in Rochester, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Chapell was born August 5, 1926 in Pavilion, a daughter of the late Howard and Minnie (Sandles) Youngs.

Beatrice was an extremely giving, caring and easy going person who would help anyone she could.  She loved to play cards, especially Gripe, and she had a fondness for hummingbirds.  She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

She is the wife of the late Roy Chapell who passed away on 2008.

Surviving are her daughter, Nancy (Jospeh) Fiorito of Byron and Palmetto, FL; three grandchildren, Gregory (Barb) Totten of Batavia, Amy (Ed) Easton of VA, and Anthony (Lindsey) Fiorito of Churchville; a sister, Gladys (late Weldon) Hilchey of Batavia.  Many great-grandchildren also survive.

Beatrice is preceded in death by a son, David Chapell, a daughter, Donna (late Ray) Totten, and a sister, Doris (late Paul) Niebch.

Friends may call on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co.
