Anthony J. (DelSordo) Delson Jr.

Age 89, of Batavia, died peacefully Tuesday morning July 16, 2013 at United Memorial Medical Center . He was born May 4, 1924 in Batavia, a son of the late Anthony J. & Mary (Capella) Delson Sr., also preceded in death by his  beloved wife, Florence I. (Schwanke) Delson in 2004 and sister, Lucy Dombrowski.

   Mr. Delson was employed at US Chrome and remained a "fixture" there for 53 years, having just retired in January of 2013. A sergeant in the Army Air Corp. during WWII, member of the VFW Post #1602, avid golfer, bowler, card player and many years ago played semi-pro football in Batavia.

   Surviving is his loving daughter, Linda (late Donald) Palone of Batavia and her daughters, Joanna L. (John N.) Palone-Borrelli with their children, Jacklyn and Nicole D. all of Rochester, Stacy L. (Scott) Palone-Berchou with their children, Samantha N., Jason D. & Joseph M. all of Clarence; loving son, Robert A. (Traci) Delson of San Diego, CA and his sons, Anthony N. and David R. Delson of San Diego, CA; brother, David J. Delson of Batavia and sister, Frances "Babe" Gentile of Batavia along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends

   Visitation will be 10-12 NOON on Friday July 19, 2013 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial with full military honors will be in Grand View Cemetery, memorials in Anthony's memory are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
