Carol J. Gozdziak

Carol J. Gozdziak, 77 of Batavia, died Sunday morning, January 12, 2014 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. She was born July 5, 1936 in Barre, New York to the late John D. (Margaret White) Jacobs. Carol was retired from Maxpex Fibre Recycling in Medina and she also worked for many years as a home health aide. She used to sing and play guitar in a country western band with her late brother. She is preceded in death by her sons Thomas and Michael Horner, a daughter Sharon Horner. Brothers June Townsend and John Jacobs Jr., sisters Marjorie Narburgh, Haleda Reed and Onalee Hess.

Mrs. Gozdziak is survived by her children Kenneth (Kim) Horner of Georgia, Gary Rosenberg of Cheektowaga, Terry (A. Steven) Dick of Alexander and Debra Mucci of Ft. Wayne, IN;  11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday January 14, 2014 from 10 to 11 AM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc., 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia, NY. Funeral Services will follow calling hours and be held at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Alexander.
