Elfreda M. Scroger

Elfreda M. Scroger, 78 of Batavia, passed away on Sunday February 2, 2014 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. She was born on February 17, 1935 in Grand Marion, Michigan to the late William J. (Mary Thornton) Scroger. Elfreda worked for many years at Eastman Kodak. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Batavia and was an avid bingo player.

Elfreda is preceded in death by her brother William Scroger of Batavia.

She is survived by her sons; Rick ( Nicolette) Lang of Batavia; Timothy ( Helen) Lang of North Carolina; daughters; Deborah (John) Konieczny of Batavia; Holley (Edmund) Zaremski of East Oakfield; Jennifer (Ike) Behe of Gasport; sister Judy (Thomas) Jenkins of Batavia; Pat (John) Pangrazio; along with 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday February 5, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, NY 14020. Prayers will be recited 9:00 AM on Thursday February 6, 2014 at the Funeral Home followed by a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Parish 18 Ellicott St. Batavia, NY 14020. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
