Raymond D. Schwab

Raymond D. Schwab, 89 of North Java, passed peacefully on Saturday February 8, 2014 at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. He was born December 6, 1924 in North Java to the late John E. (Anna Seewaldt) Schwab. Ray was a lifelong resident of North Java. He and his late wife Rosemary owned and operated several businesses’s including a dairy farm, Ironwoods Hideaway Campground and Schwab’s Maple Products. Ray was a member of the North Java Fire Department for 69 years. Ray is preceded in death by his beloved wife Rosemary Schwab along with brothers and sisters.

Survived by two daughters Donna (Thomas) Grove of South Carolina; Julie (Justin) Hackett of North Java; son Ronald (Donna) Schwab of North Java; four grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Hayden, Stephen (Andie) Mueller both of North Carolina; Elise (Eric Meyer) Hackett of Darien Center, Jason Hackett of North Java; three great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday February 12, 2014 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main St. Attica, NY 14011. A 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday February 13, 2014 at Ss. Joachim and Anne Parish 2311 Attica St. Varysburg, NY 14167. He will be laid to rest in St. Nicholas Cemetery, North Java.
