Salvatore Sanfratello Jr.

Salvatore Sanfratello Jr., 63 of Batavia, passed away on Saturday March 1, 2014 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. He was born on August 28, 1950 in Batavia to the late Salvatore (Katherine Nicosia) Sanfratello Sr. Mr. Sanfratello was an avid fisherman and amateur photographer. He was a lifelong Yankee fan, attended sporting events across the country, coached Little League and particularly enjoyed the Olympics as well as track and field. He worked at Alliance Mold and went on to retire from Kodak as a Computer Programmer. Sal was instrumental in the implementation of cable TV in Batavia. He is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Edward Palone.

Sal is survived by his sisters Frances Palone; Josie (Joseph) Corcimiglia both of Batavia, along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held privately for the family. A 6:30 PM Memorial Service will be held on Monday March 10, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church 7484 West Bergen Road, Bergen, NY 14416. He will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.
