Mary Louise Norton

Mary Louise Norton, 77 of East Bethany, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday March 4, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 5, 1936 in Batavia to the late Francis (Margaret Tenney) Bartz. Mrs. Norton was a member of Mary Immaculate Parish and a member of their Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed collecting angels, gardening, snowmobiling, singing and attending the sporting events of her grandchildren. Mrs. Norton was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and loved all of her animals especially her cat Izzy. Her greatest pleasure came from being with her family, family was her life and she loved them all so very much. Mary is preceded in death by a son Gregory Norton, grandson Daniel Fluker, brother Bernard Bartz and a brother-in-law Porter Clemens.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years Roger J. Norton of E. Bethany who she married on May 14, 1955; children Fran (Bobbi) Norton of Alexander; Cindy (Wayne) Ortiz of E. Bethany; Mark (Sue) Norton of E. Bethany; Sandy (Jeff) Fluker of Bethany; Jane (Brian) Dills of Alexander; 9 grandchildren Greg, Lindsey, Kristie, Ashley, Jason, Amanda, Drew, Bradley and Jamie along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday March 6, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main St. Attica, NY 14011. An 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday March 7, 2014 at Mary Immaculate Parish 5865 Ellicott St. Rd. East Bethany, NY 14054. She will be laid to rest in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Attica.
