MARY LOU BATTAGLIA

MARY LOU BATTAGLIA – Age 83, of Oakfield, died Friday morning March 21, 2014 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1930 in Auburn, NY to the late Joseph and Onlee (Joslyn) Versaggi, also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles G. Battaglia in 2012 and loving sister, Minnie Galline in 2013.

   Mrs. Battaglia was a lifetime member of St. Padre Pio Parish in Oakfield and along with her husband, owned and operated LeRoy Wallpaper & Paint for many years. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother

   Surviving is her son, Frank Charles (Loretta) Battaglia Sr. of Oakfield and their sons, Timothy Ryan (Michelle Anderson) Battaglia & Frank Charles Battaglia Jr.; brothers, Joseph Versaggi of Batavia, Frank (Genevieve) Versaggi of Oakfield;  2 great-grandchildren, Isabella & Anthony Charles Battaglia along with several nieces & nephews.

   Family and friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday March 23, 2014 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where prayers will be recited 9:15 a.m. Monday March 24, 2014 followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial St. Padre Pio Parish (Oakfield Site). Burial will be alongside her husband in St. Joseph's Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the church.
