Lucy T. Zientara

Lucy T. Zientara, 89 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Thursday (May 1, 2014) at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia.

She was born in Auburn, NY on June 9, 1924, daughter of the late John and Josephine Stbel Klenkiewicz.

Lucy was a member of Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Church), lifetime member of the Sacred Heart Church Altar and Rosary Society and the Polish Falconettes.  She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.

She was the wife of the late Henry E. Zientara, who died on December 27, 2003 and sister of the late Frank Kaznowski, Mary Slisz and Dorothy Kijowski.

Survivors include her son, Henry J. Zientara of Batavia. Daughter, Kathy Trzecieski of Batavia. Granddaughter, Valerie Trzecieski of Batavia. Sister in-law, Rita (August) Stornelli of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share fond memories, condolences and thoughts on Monday morning from 9:00am – 10:30am at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia, where prayers will be recited at 10:30am followed by an 11:00am  Mass Of Christian Burial at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Church).  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
