Florence Macaluso

LeRoy ~ Florence Macaluso, age 87, of Lake Street, passed away Sunday morning (Sept. 7, 2014) at United Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

     Mrs. Macaluso was born June 4, 1927 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Albert and Carmella Corrado Strollo.

    

She will be remembered as a very caring and compassionate person, who loved people.  Her devotion and love for her family was her priority.    

     She is survived by her children, Carm (Gary) Brown of LeRoy and Joe (Donna) Macaluso of Batavia; grandchildren, Richard (Tammi) Wickson, James (Ann) Wickson, Lezlie (Andrew) Farrell, Stacey (Sean) Omeara and Chelsie Callan; the love of her life, her great-grandchildren, Jay, Kendall, Izabelle, Addison, Aleah, Lila, Max and Finn; her siblings, Rose Strollo of Batavia, Albert Strollo of Batavia and Anthony (Jean) Strollo of Byron, along with many nieces and nephews. 

     She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Macaluso Sr. and her siblings, Mary (Alfonso) Ficarella, Pauline (Joseph) O'Geen, Frances Miceli, Michael (Ann) Strollo, Alfred (Mary) Strollo and Antoinette (John) O'Geen.

     Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 3 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy.  Her Rite of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Joseph's Oratory, 27 Lake St., LeRoy, with private entombment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia.
