FREDERICK DANSON JR. - 74, of Akron, died Wednesday October 15, 2014 at the Buffalo VA Medical Center. Fred was born July 31, 1940 in Buffalo, NY to the late Frederick and Marion (Cross) Danson Sr.; also preceded in death by siblings Richard, Rose Marie Emerson and Marion Budziszewski.

   Mr. Danson worked for Sakrete and Kutter's Cheese Factory and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was well known for his work ethic, love of country music and his closeness to his family especially his sisters.

   Surviving are his loving children, Douglas of Oakfield, Michael of Akron, Larry (Jill) of Alden, Floyd of Buffalo, April (Michael Burch) Wasicsko of Rochester and Dee (Tom Clark) Danson of Akron; brother, Thomas "Butch" (Cheryl) Danson of Post Falls, ID; sisters, Roseanne (late Melvin Mobley) Danson of Akron, OH, Irene (James) Fox of Albion; special family friend, Mary Langworthy of Akron, NY; sister-in-law, Hazel Danson of Seneca, SC; brother-in-law, William Budziszewski of Akron, NY; 12 grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, friends and his dog, Smokey.

   Family and friends may visit from 11-2 p.m. on Tuesday October 21, 2014 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where a graveside service will be held at Mogadore Cemetery following visitation. Memorials in Fred's memory can be made to the family c/o his daughter, April Wasicsko.
