PETER R. CORBELLI

Batavia - Peter R. Corbelli, 80, of Batavia, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Genesee County Nursing Home.

Mr. Corbelli was born April 13, 1934 in Robertsdale, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Carlo and Dominica Tacca Corbelli.

A member and usher at Ascension Parish, Mr. Corbelli was a retiree from the Post Office in Batavia. Mr. Corbelli served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army.

An avid golfer and card player, he loved people and life. A devoted fan of the New York Yankees, he was a gifted athlete who played semi-pro football.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Burns Corbelli, whom he married December 30, 1961; two sons, Peter R. (Jennifer) Corbelli, Jr. of Batavia and Paul (Julie) Corbelli of LeRoy; four grandchildren;  Brianne Elizabeth Corbelli and Paul A. Corbelli, Jr., both of LeRoy,  Pierce Joseph Corbelli and Parker Aidan Corbelli, both of Batavia; four brothers, Bernard (Patricia) Corbelli of South Carolina, Santi (Rita) Corbelli of Harris Hill, Octavio (Lynn) Corbelli of Arizona and  Leo (Susan) Corbelli of Nevada; two sisters, Antoinette Martin of Missouri and Elizabeth Seeburg of Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Antoinette Corbelli of Buffalo and Annette Corbelli of Batavia and several nieces and nephews.

He is the brother of the late John, Louis and Victor Corbelli and Mary Josephine Pilato.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. His Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ascension Parish - Sacred Heart Site, 15 Sumner Street, Batavia.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Stafford Fire Department  Rescue Squad, P.O.
