Lee R. Hendershott

Lee R. Hendershott, 66 of East Bethany, died December 24, 2014 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 19, 1948 in Batavia to the late Laverne R. (Dorothy Dean) Hendershott. Lee is preceded in death by his brother Duane Hendershott.

Lee a retired assembler at American Axle and MFG in Buffalo. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 424 Buffalo & G.A.G. He enjoyed geneaology, local history, and building models. He had worked as a parts and service manager at various dealerships in the area and was an avid Chrysler and railroad fan.

He is survived by his wife Mildred (Clark) Hendershott; Sons Tracy and Matthew (Ellen) Hendershott; daughters Lori, Michelle and Marjie Hendershott; sisters Sandra (Paul) Oberlander and Sheila (John) Henderson; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday December 26, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc., 329-333 West Main St. Batavia New York. An 11:00 AM Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 27, 2014 at the Funeral Home. Lee will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.
