Richard F. Thomas

Richard F. Thomas, 68, of Perry died on Friday December 26th at his home in Perry. He was born on February 25, 1946 in Rochester, New York a son of the late Edward F. and Bernadine R. (Houck) Thomas.  Richard had worked for the former Sonyea State Home in Sonyea as a cook.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching TV, playing chess and painting on glass.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister and her husband Bernadine (William) Jackson

He is survived by his wife Shirley D. (Schafer) Thomas whom he married on January 27, 1979, a daughter Katrina Thomas of Dansville, a step-son  Lance (Christine) Lawton of Perry; 2 step daughters Marcia (Charles Thomas) Lawton of Arkport, Mona (Robert) Lawton-Yott of Bath; a sister Sue Thomas of Perry; 4 brothers Edward (Mary) Thomas of Brockport, Robert Thomas of Fl., Kenneth Thomas of Rochester, Gordon (Donna) Thomas of Avon, along with several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 11am-1pm on Wednesday December 31st at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry where services will follow at 1pm.  He will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
