Elizabeth “Betty” M. Basso, 84 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Sunday (January 4, 2015) at United Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in Rochester, NY on November 6, 1930, a daughter of the late Peter and Helen Quillan Heymans.
Mrs. Basso was formerly employed by Rochester Products and Kisiel Die Cast Co. prior to her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, horses and spending time with her loving family.
She was predeceased by her husband, August Basso, who died in 1991 and daughter, Christine McClellan who died in 2005.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Bill) Whiteman of Batavia. Son, Tom (Donna) Basso of Alexander. Sisters, Shirley Jaus of Dansville and Gerri Buckenmeyer of Alexander. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are cordially invited to share memories, thoughts and condolences on Tuesday from 5-8pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10am at Resurrection Parish, 303 E. Main St., Batavia. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
