MARGARET SCHLOSSEL

MARGARET SCHLOSSEL - age 90, of Batavia, NY died peacefully Friday morning February 6, 2015 at the Batavia Health Care Center. She was born October 16, 1924 in Batavia, NY to the late Ralph and Marie (DiFino) Recchio; also preceded in death by her husband, Zigmund C. "Ziggy" Schlossel on August 2, 1979; brothers, Frank and Michael Recchio, sister, Mary Schiavone.

   Margaret was a long time member of Resurrection Parish and enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo.

   Surviving are her loving children, Diana "Dee Dee" (Richard) Borrell of Batavia and their children, Jolene (John) Caselli and Michael Borrell; Joseph (Michelle) Schlossel of Batavia and their children, Joey and Morgan; J. Scott (Cheryl) Schlossel of New York City and their children, Sophia, Caroline and Elizabeth; beloved gigi to Olivia and Aidan; sisters, Josephine Fragnito and Jenny Trigilio both of Batavia; sister-in-law, Mary Recchio of CA along with many nieces and nephews.

   Please join the Schlossel family to celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 p.m. Tuesday February 10, 2015 at Resurrection Parish (St. Joseph's Site) 303 East Main Street Batavia, New York 14020, she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved Zigmund in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Western & Central New York 4043 Maple Road Suite 105 Amherst, New York 14426.
