
Mr. Godlove was a truck driver for many years with various companies in the area. He was an avid racing fan, especially Dirt Track and Nascar, enjoyed playing his guitar and was quite the "practical joker." Most important to Dick was his family and the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 58 years, Joyce (Stringham) Godlove of Stafford; loving children, Richard W. (Wendy Fleig) Godlove of Caledonia, Terry (Paula) Godlove of FL, Randy (Jeannie) Godlove of Batavia, Wade (Di Dillon) Godlove of Stafford and foster-son, Alan (Tammy) Stevens of Bergen; brother, Gene (Deborah) Godlove of Bergen; brother-in-law, Dana (Diane) Stringham of Batavia; sister-in-law, Peggy (Roger) Heidenreich of OH; dear friends, Dave (Dora) Henry, Brenda Wetzel & Eldon Farrington; 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
The Godlove family will be present from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday February 11, 2015 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 WEST MAIN STREET ROAD BATAVIA, NEW YORK 14020, a celebration of Richard's life will take place 2:00 p.m. Thursday February 12, 2015 at the Calvary Baptist Church 3515 Galloway Road Batavia, New York 14020.
