Gloria was an operator for 35 years with the former NY Telephone, a longtime member of Resurrection Parish and member of the former Red Hats. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling and being on the go but most important to her was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her loving children, Frank (Frances) Neubert of Syracuse, Sue Giamartino of Ballston Spa, NY and Christina (Michael "Skinny") Rose of Batavia; brothers, William Gear of AZ, Arthur (Fran) Gear of Batavia, Sidney (Laura) Gear of Rochester, David Gear of Batavia; brother-in-law, Alex (Mary) Neubert of Batavia; 6 grandchildren, Chris and Keith Neubert, David (Kate) & Daniel Giamartino, Michael and Sydney Rose along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Gloria's family will be present from 4-8 p.m. Thursday March 19, 2015 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 WEST MAIN STREET ROAD BATAVIA, NEW YORK 14020 where prayers will be recited 9:00 a.m. Friday March 20 followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Parish (St. Joseph's Site), she will be entombed in the Monsignor Francis L. Schwartz Mausoleum with her late husband.
