Rose M. Tresco

Batavia - Rose M. Tresco, 97, of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Saturday (April 11, 2015) in the Comfort Care Center at United Memorial Medical Center.

She was born September 20, 1917 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Pappero) Suozzi.

Rose was a member of Ascension Parish and longtime employee of Alexanders Clothing Store.  She loved watching the New York Yankees, Buffalo Sabres, doing word search puzzles, gardening and cooking for her family.

Survivors include her loving son, Larry (Rita Nan) Tresco of Batavia; granddaughters, Amy (Steven) Fuchs of LeRoy and Christina M. Tresco, Esq of Maryland; grandsons, Michael (Gina) Corbelli of Batavia, Gregory (Dawn) Corbelli of Colorado and Daniel (Jennifer) Corbelli of Iowa; one sister, Angeline Peraino of Geneseo. Rose is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Rose is predeceased by her husband, Gabriel Tresco, daughter, JoAnn Corbelli Konarski, brothers, Dennis, Patsy and Donald Suozzi and beloved sisters, Loretta Strogen, Margret Cervone and Lucy Zanghi.   

Calling hours are Thursday from 4:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia.  Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Resurrection Parish - St. Mary's Church, 18 Ellicott Street, Batavia.  Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Batavia.
