Mr. Bartz retired from Dohler Jarvis in Batavia as well as owning and operating Bartz Cleaning, Inc. for 20 years. He was an avid gardener, volunteered to record all of Women’s Aglow in Western New York, member of Mens Full Gosple Ministries. In the late 1950’s and early 60’s he was a Boy Scout Leader. Mr. Bartz loved his children, adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and people in general along with having a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Alice (Sanderson) Bartz of Batavia; children Donald (Diane) Bartz of AZ; Linda (Vince) Wise of Cuba, NY; Alice (Robert) Buckel of Batavia; Paula (Robert) Mendes of Penfield; step children Paul Francis of FL; Roger (Faith) Francis of Batavia; Doreen (Benny) DaSilva of ME; brothers John, Henry (Jane), Harvey (Laurie) Bartz; sisters Elizabeth Heale, Bertha Gage, 18 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren survive along with many, many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Monday June 8, 2015 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. A 1:00 PM Funeral Service will follow on Monday June 6, 2015 at the Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Reed Cemetery, Oakfield.
