Mr. Meyers graduated from Bolivar High School. He attended Paul Smith’s College in New York. He proudly served as a Correction Officer for the State of New York for 27 years, and worked at the Wyoming County Correctional Facility. He retired on June 25, 2015. Mr. Meyers was a member of the National Rifle Association, and a damn good shot for a country boy.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Dawn M. (Wilson) Meyers; sons, Cody M. Meyers of Buffalo and Gordon J. Meyers of Cheektowaga.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday July 9, 2015 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. An 11:00 AM Memorial Service will be held Friday July 10, 2015 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.
