Priscilla J. Facer

Priscilla J. Facer, 91, of Batavia, died Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Crossroads House.

Priscilla was born December 2, 1926 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Edward and Bessie (Johnson) Hottois.

A graduate of South Byron High School and Brockport State in 1947 she taught at South Byron School, St. Joseph’s School and was a substitute teacher at Batavia Schools.  Mrs. Facer was a member of Resurrection Parish for over 50 years and volunteered at the Genesee County Nursing Home for 20 years. 

She is survived by her husband, Frederick G.  Facer, of Batavia, whom she married July 13, 1948; two sons, Michael (Kim Jin Kyeong) Facer of Oregon and James P. (Tina) Facer of Delaware; two daughters, Kathleen M. Facer of Batavia and Cheryl A. (Richard) Price of Maryland; two sisters, Mary Wilford of LeRoy and Dorothy (Floyd) Smith of California; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Priscilla is a sister of the late Edward and David Hottois.  

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia.  Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph's Church, 303 East Main Street, Batavia.  She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads House, P.O.
