Richard J. Proper, 67, of Perry passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born October 3, 1947 in Warsaw, New York to the late Roy (Arlene Bender) Proper.

Richard served in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Walter Klein Post 532 in Warsaw and the Perry Vet’s Club. Richard owned and operated Dick Proper Trucking in Perry. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing horseshoes and camping. Richard was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Penny G. (Patrick) Proper of Perry; children Clinton J. (Jennifer) Proper of Perry, Chad E. (Becky) Proper of Silver Springs, Renee R. (Bob) Fragoman of Cuylerville; siblings Bruce Proper of Canandaigua, Brenda Proper of Rochester, Brian Proper of Las Vegas, Robin (Dave) Elliott of Las Vegas; 7 grandchildren Kevin, Matthew, Sabrina, Brooke, Emma, Sophia, Ryan along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Monday August 10, 2015 from 4 PM- 7 PM at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC 98 North Main Street Perry, New York 14530. Funeral Services will immediately follow on Monday at 7:00 PM.
