Claire L. Henry

Bergen - Claire L. Henry, 70, of Bergen, a former Financial Clerk at Lincoln Rochester, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Crossroads House, in Batavia.

Mrs. Henry was born October 2, 1947 in Rochester, a daughter of the late George W. (Jr.) and Marion I. (White) Mayne.

She attended and graduated from the Byron Bergen Senior High School, was a member of the Bergen United Methodist Church for over 45 years and was a member of its Tuesday Morning Bible Study Group.   She loved animals but was especially fond of her beloved dog Molly. She will be remembered dearly for her generosity and spunky personality.

She is survived by her husband, David G.  Henry, whom she married on March 16, 1967; 3 daughters, Michele Doyle (JC) of Bergen, Tracy Henry (Scott) of Rochester and Rebecca Howe (Jake) of Marathon; a grandchild, Jayden Doyle of Bergen, a brother: George W. (Helen) Mayne, III; a brother-in-law, Henry Peck and a niece, Norleen (Darrell) Aubin of Corinth.   

She was the sister of the late Barbara Joan Peck (Mayne).  

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at H.E. Turner & Co., Inc., 51 S. Lake St., in Bergen.  Services will be at 11 am Friday at the Bergen United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Mt. Rest Cemetery also in Bergen.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads House, 11 Liberty St., Batavia, NY 14020 or to Bergen United Methodist Church, 27 S.
