JEFFREY LYNN SHULTZ ~ Batavia

Age 56, of Batavia, NY, died peacefully Thursday May 3, 2018 at the Batavia Healthcare Center after a courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was born in Batavia, June 1, 1961, a son of the late Kenneth Shultz and Sandra (Metz) Shultz-Pfeifer, also preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Lee Shultz.

Jeff loved and served honorably in the United States Marine Corp from 1979-1983. He was employed for the former O&K Trojan, Whiting Overhead Door and most recently as a Walmart greeter before his illness kept him from working. He enjoyed weightlifting, loved his cats, NY Yankees & Miami Dolphins fan and enjoyed sitting down to a good meal. Jeff's love of the Lord and his inner strength met his illness head on and fought it with dignity and grace.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Lisa (Zybeck) Shultz of Batavia; sons, SPC Thomas (Melinda) Wiechman and Michael Wiechman; granddaughters, Amelia and Skarlett; brother, Edward (Charlene) Shultz of Elba along with aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

The Shultz family will be present from 3-7pm Tuesday May 8, 2018 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where funeral services will begin at 7pm followed by military honors. In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory are suggested to the family.
