William R. McCullough

Batavia - William R. McCullough, 86, of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, (May 22, 2018) at New York State Veteran's Home, in Batavia.

Mr. McCullough was born March 19, 1932 in Batavia, NY, the son of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Thomas) McCullough.

William served his country honorably with the Army and was a shop manager at Batavia Farm Equipment/Monroe Tractor in Batavia for many years.  Agriculture was his life and he was known for his extensive knowledge of farm equipment.  He greatly enjoyed being outdoors and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.   

He was the husband of the late Dolores (Beechler) McCullough who died August 24, 1979.

Surviving are his children, Mark McCullough of Marion, Jane (David) Geissler of Elba, and Paul (Kimberly) McCullough of East Pembroke; grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah) Geissler of Elba and Molly (fiancé Andrew Rotando) Geissler of Rochester, Bryce McCullough of Irondequoit and Katie McCullough of Rochester; sister, Joyce (late Herbert) Diegelman of Batavia.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

There will be no visitation.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Mr. McCullough will be laid to rest beside his wife in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Activities Fund at the New York State Veteran’s Home, 220 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, New York 14020.
