Mary was a mainstay in the restaurant industry over a 60 plus year career. She was a supervisor at Ange's Restaurant which later became Christina's, she waitressed at the former Scotland Yard, Young's Restaurant and the former Batavia Downs Clubhouse and Hostessed at the former Treadway. Mary was a fantastic cook, enjoyed travelling, avid fan of horseracing especially the Kentucky Derby but most of all being "Nanny" to her loving, Nicole & Rene`.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Nicole (John Pascarella) Primus of Byron and Rene` (Nick Pompa) Primus of Byron; great-grandchildren, Marissa Brennan, Cortney (Travis Knowlton) Greene, Jonathan Smith and Dylan (Victoria) Primus-Cook; great great-grandchildren, Jacob and Aubrey Knowlton; nephews, Charlie, George & Jimmy; niece, Natalie and several others along with many dear friends.
Please join the family from 12-1p.m. on Sunday September 16, 2018 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where a Celebration of Mary's Life will begin at 1p.m. followed by a reception at Batavia Country Club. She will be laid to rest in Wyoming County Cemetery, and memorials in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
