Eugenia Ruth Barber, 89 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Sunday (October 14, 2018) at her residence, under the loving care of her family and hospice.

She was born March 28, 1929 in Elba, NY, a daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie Gage Gould.

Eugenia enjoyed crafts, reading, word puzzles and watching games shows on television. She had a huge heart for others and loved expressing it with hugs and kisses. She will be truly missed by all who were touched by her kindness.

She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Barber; daughter, Elsie Gould and sisters, Violet Johnson, Ruby Manry and Rosie Kittle.

Survivors include family, especially her nephew and niece, Joseph (Kimberly) Heiderman of Batavia and their children, Hannah and Rachel Heiderman. Sisters, Charlotte Draper and Anna Baer, both of Batavia. Brother, Arthur Gould of Ohio. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Thursday (October 18th) from 6-8pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA, NY, where a funeral service will be Friday at 10am. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
