Lorraine Kirkpatrick

Lorraine Suess Kirkpatrick, 88, of Attica passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 9th, 2018 at Rochester General Hospital with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Attica on January 14th, 1930, to the late Arthur and Delia (Seufert) Suess.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick is predeceased by her husband, Paul J. Kirkpatrick, who passed away in 1982; brothers, Richard, Robert, Irving, Norman and Arthur Suess; sisters, Janet Riley, Marylou Edwards and Merle Willard.

Lorraine was a homemaker all of her life, along with being a cook for the Attica Central School cafeteria. Lorraine loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was friends to many. She is remembered as the caring and compassionate woman that she was. She was a member of St. Luke’s Church and a member of Attica Legion Auxiliary.

Lorraine is survived by her loving companion of 26 years, Volney Spencer, her children, Kathryn Link of Dansville, NY, Robert (Deborah) Kirkpatrick of Attica, Anne (Carl) Romesser of Attica; sisters, Ardyth VanValkenburg, and Natalie Slocum, both of Attica; her grandchilden, Paul Link, James Link, Daniel Kirkpatrick, Leslie (David) Stevenson, Kirk (Taryn Latour) Romesser and R. Craig (Jennifer Wall) Romesser; her great grandchildren: Aislinn Lorraine and Ryder Thomas Kirkpatrick, Aaliyah Ann Stevernson, Scarlett June Romesser and Connor Patrick Romesser and his little brother arriving April 2019.  Many Nephews and Nieces along with the family of Volney Spencer.

Calling hours will be held from 4- 6 P.M. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Marley Funeral Home, LLC, 135 Main St, Attica, NY 14011. A Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M.  on Thursday at St Luke’s Episcopal Church, 30 Favor St, Attica, NY.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church 30 Favor St. Attica New York 14011 or the Attica Fire Department, 11 Water St, Attica, Ny 14011 in Lorraine's memory.
