
Ron served honorably in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant with the Field Artillery Battalion. He was employed as a machinist with Doehler-Jarvis for 30 years. He was a member of Resurrection Parish, American Legion #332, VFW Post #1602 and the former Moose Club. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for over 30 years and had a love of all animals, especially cats and dogs.
Mr. Williams is survived by his loving and only daughter, Christine J. (David) O’Geen of Batavia; brother, John C. (Sharon) Williams of Rochester; sister, Jo Ann (Thomas) Saltsgiver of PA; grandchildren, Jacqueline J. O’Geen of Tonawanda, Scott W. O’Geen of Batavia and great-granddaughter, Kamrie L. O’Geen of Tonawanda, along with several nieces and nephews.
Since Mr. Williams donated his body to UB Medical School, funeral services will be held at a future date. He will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Memorials in his memory are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758541, Topeka, KS 66675-8541, Genesee County Animal Shelter, or in the form of masses.
