Mrs. Florence I. Miller

Batavia - Florence I. Miller, 84, of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, in Bergen.

Florence was born May 21, 1934, in Batavia, a daughter of the late George T. Miller and Roselin Walbridge Miller.

Known to many as "Grandma Flo", she enjoyed playing Bingo, cards and working word search books. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as being feisty, yet very caring. She always made sure her opinion on a matter was heard. An employee at SUNY Brockport for over 10 years, she also worked at the Batavia Nursing home.

Surviving are her daughter, Darlene (late Ken) Hazlett of Byron; two grandchildren, Matthew Johnson of Byron and Sarah (Michael) Keech of Roanoke, Virginia; three great-grandchildren, Aria Gayton, Kyleigh and Raelynn Keech; her brother, Edward (Late Lee) Walbridge of Stafford; her sister, Imogene (Late Howard) Bane of Bergen and several nieces and nephews. 

She is predeceased by her brother, Robert Miler and her sister, Betty Hadelton.  

There will be no prior visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Florence's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy, Amherst, New York 14228.
