Helen M. Mansfield

OAKFIELD - Helen M. Mansfield, 91, died peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2019 at home.  

Mrs. Mansfield was born July 31, 1927, in Ashville, Pa, - a daughter of the late Charles and Colletta Moran.

After high school graduation, Helen was employed at the Publix Shirt Corporation in PA.  She retired after 20 years from the United States Postal Service where she was employed, first as a rural route/mail carrier and then a window clerk - a job she loved.

She was a National Active and Retired Federal Employee (NARFE) member and a long-standing member of the American Legion Post No. 262 in Basom, NY.

She loved taking care of her family and home, and really enjoyed golfing.  Helen was a longtime member of St., Padre Pio Parish - St. Cecelia's Site in Oakfield, NY.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Paul, who passed away in 2011, and her son, Kenneth in 2001.  She is survived by her daughter Paulette (David) Brown and two grandchildren, Samuel and Natalie, who were her pride and joy.  Several nieces and nephews as well.

Mrs. Mansfield is preceded in death by her sisters, Olive, Janet, and Marge.

There will be no prior calling hours.  A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Notre Dame High School, 73 Union Street, Batavia, NY 14020.
