Mrs. Cecere worked for many years at the Genesee County Nursing Home. She was a member of Home Bureau, an avid bowler, loved crafting, crocheting and sewing. She made great Halloween costumes. She was smart, creative and gave great advice. Irene will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was strong and kind with an imagination that made cleaning fun.
She is survived by her children; Loretta (Terry) Hale of Knoxville, TN., Michael P. (Cindy Antinore) Cecere Jr. of Livonia; sister Caroline (Eugene) Beach of Oakfield and brother Leon (Lillian) Halat of Oakfield; a granddaughter Ashley Hale of St. Petersburg, FL.; along with many nieces and nephews.

A 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 4, 2019 at Mary Immaculate Parish 5865 Ellicott Street Rd. East Bethany, NY 14054. Mrs. Cecere will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Batavia.
