Roger Leland Cooley

Pavilion - Roger L. Cooley, 83, of Pavilion, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1935, in Fillmore, the son of the late Leland and Mary (Barber) Cooley.

     He married Nancy (Meyers) Cooley on June 2, 1962 in Lyndon. Roger loved traveling with his family in the camper, John Wayne movies, spending time with family and friends, stealing candy, and making people laugh. 

     In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by four children, Lori (Bill) Allen of Wyoming, Dennis (Jack Jackson) Cooley of Fargo, N.D.; Faith (Jeff Pixley) Cooley of Machias, Ami (Jim) Quigley of Pavilion; five grandchildren, Melinda (Nick) Lenzi, Jessica (Mike) Robinson, Jeffrey (Tran) Cromwell, and his little sweethearts Kennedy and Abigail Quigley; three great-grandsons, Keegan, Makai and Justice; brother, Bob Cooley of Canandaigua; brother-in-law, Loren (Sandi) Meyers of Alden; special family friends, Sue and Skip Coon of Wyoming; and many nieces and nephews.

     He was predeceased by his parents, his in-laws, Ernest and Nellie (Porter) Meyers, and a brother, James Cooley.

     Family will receive friends and family from 1 ~ 2 P.M. Sunday at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd., Le Roy, where services will follow at 2 P.M.

     In lieu of flowers, which he used to call "glorified weeds", memorials may be made to the Western New York Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association at 6215 Sheridan Drive, Suite 100 in Amherst, N.Y. or to the Wyoming County Office for the Aging at 8 Perry Ave. in Warsaw N.Y.
