
Affectionately known as “Cioci Helena” she was a longtime member of Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart) and its Altar & Rosary Society along with Polish Falcons, Falconettes and Batavia Business & Professional Women’s Club. Helena enjoyed knitting, reading and going to casinos.
Surviving is her loving sister, Veronica “Dolly” (late Nicholas) DiFilippo of Batavia along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews.
The family will be present from 10-11:30a.m. on Wednesday May 29, 2019 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where prayers will be recited 11:30a.m. followed by a 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Site) celebrated by her nephew, Rev. Walter John Szczesny. She will be entombed with her late husband in the Monsignor Francis L. Schwartz Mausoleum in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
