Carlton L. Lafferty

Carlton L. Lafferty, age 87, of Perry, NY passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2019 at his home surrounded by family after a blessedly short battle with heart failure. Carl was born in Hume, NY on June 14, 1932 a son to the late Leland and Eunice (Kingsley) Lafferty. He is preceded in death by his loving wife: Judith Wheeler Lafferty, whom he married on August 1, 1958, a brother: Joel Lafferty, sister-in-law: Darlene Lafferty, brothers-in-law: Grant and Gerald Wheeler, and granddaughter: Jasmine Uveino.

Carl was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He served his country in the US Army. He was a journeyman and toolmaker for LeRoy Machine Shop for many years. Carl loved all things flying. He enjoyed remote control planes, attending air shows, achieved his pilot’s license and owned his own plane, which he loved to take his wife Judy flying. He enjoyed family vacations, photography, boating, camping, fishing, traveling and tinkering in the garage.

He is survived by 3 sons: Benjamin (Debbie) Lafferty, Randy Lafferty and Michael (Judy Uveino) Lafferty, brothers: Leland “Bugsy” (Wanda) Lafferty and Raymond Lafferty, sisters: Dawn (Thomas) Friedl and Della (Woodrow) Cummings, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends may call from 3-5pm on Sunday July 14th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry where services will follow at 5pm. He will be laid to rest in East Koy Cemetery in Pike.
