Winfield S. Cooper

BYRON - Winfield S. Cooper, 82, of Byron, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019, at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Facility in LeRoy.

Winfield was born November 20, 1936, in Rochester, the son of the late Leonard and Eva Cooper.

He was a driver for Lift Line in Gates, and formerly worked at the Eastman Kodak Co. and Trailways.  He was a former member of the Bergen Rod and Gun Club.

His wife, Charlotte (Callery) Lambe Cooper died on December 6, 2018.

Survivors include 3 grandchildren, Niki Dupont, Jamie Dupont and Zoe Sanders; 7 step-children, Sarlynn Bennage of Penfield, Deborah Scofero and Charlene Williams, both of Byron, Joyce (George) D'Ambrosia of Greece, Steaven Lambe of Canisteo, Jim (Stef) Lambe of Penfield and Scott (Mary) Lambe of Churchville and several step-grandchildren.

He was the father of the late Cathy Ann Cooper who died in 2017. 

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Winfield’s name to the VA Medical Center, 222 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY  14020.  Arrangements were completed by H.E.
