Helen Oles

Oakfield - Helen Oles, 79, a resident of Oakfield for over 35 years, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

Helen was born March 27, 1940, in Elba, the daughter of the late John and Hattie (Levandoski) Oles.

Helen loved her community and participated in community events, including being a member of the smiling dry bones and attending the Oakfield Community Bible Church.  She was also known and cared for by her Oakfield community.  Helen enjoyed attending the Oakfield Labor Daze and the Elvis impersonator, Terry Buckwald.  She will be remembered as a kind soul, who loved her cats and all animals.

Survivors include her brother, Stanley (Flor) Oles; a niece, Florence Beck; a nephew, Stanley Oles, Jr. and first cousins, Raymond Chudoba and Josephine Kukoski.

Calling hours are Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue in Oakfield, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. also on Thursday with Rev. J. McMullen officiating.  Helen will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia.
