Julia M. Dzierzanowski, 86 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Saturday (September 28, 2019) at Hildebrandt Hospice Care in Rochester.

She was born May 18, 1933, in Warsaw, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Marian Hottois Goodie.

Julia was formerly employed by Star Market and United Memorial Hospital in Batavia prior to her retirement. She was a member of Resurrection Parish. Julia enjoyed ceramics, yodeling, working outdoors and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed her family and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard “Benny” Dzierzanowski in 2001; son, Rex Dzierzanowski in 1980; brothers, Joseph, John and Leo Goodie; sisters, Myrtie Neider, Estella Mae Byers and Mary Ellen Campbell.

Survivors include her daughters, Dawn Sachs of Rochester and Deborah (Ronald) Foster of Batavia. Son, James (Paula) Dzierzanowski of Oklahoma. Brother, Elmo Goodie of Poland, NY. Sister, Esther Carmel of Pavilion. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Friday (October 4th) from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the J. LEONARD McANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia, NY. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 9:30am at Resurrection Parish, 18 Ellicott St., Batavia. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
