SARAH M. FENELLO

SARAH M. FENELLO ~ Age 79, of Batavia, died peacefully Friday October 11, 2019 at her home. She was born in Batavia, NY on September 11, 1940, a daughter of the late Anthony and Angela Marie (Cinquino) Barone.

Mrs. Fenello was an active member of the former St. Anthony’s Church where she volunteered at the annual Lawn Fete, taught Religious Ed., active with the Altar & Rosary Society and when the churches merged to form Ascension Parish, she volunteered on the bereavement committee. Sarah attended RIT to study art which allowed her talents in artistry, printing, photography, floral arrangements, seamstress and dress maker flourish. She was avid doll collector and participated in numerous craft shows throughout the area including the annual Letchworth Craft Show. She was involved in many community activities from the St. Joe’s Color Guard, Board of Elections, Batavia Garden Club, Holiday Tour of Homes and organizing her class reunions. Amongst all her activities Sarah worked for many years for Attorney’s Nick & Frank Zinni, Bob Harris Realty and Senior Center Manager in Oakfield, LeRoy and East Bethany. Sarah’s true love was family and friends and will be remembered for her beautiful smile that would brighten the room as she walked in.

Sarah’s family wishes to share on of her favorite sayings:

She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Nicholas Fenello, loving sons, Christopher (Kathleen) Fenello of Darien Center and Nicholas J. Fenello of Batavia; cherished granddaughters; Kayla and Gianna; siblings, Anthony (Lisa) Barone of Williamsville, Marilyn (John) Jankowski of Batavia and Theresa Barone of Batavia along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Prayers will be recited 12:15p.m. Wednesday October 16, 2019 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 followed by a 1p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart). She will be entombed in the Rev. T. Bernard Kelly Mausoleum at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Crossroads House PO Box 403 Batavia, NY 14021.
