Hilda Dylag, 84 of Corfu, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (November 12, 2019) at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 22, 1935 in Depew, NY, a daughter of the late Charles and Hilda Nagy Guenther.

She was employed by Pixley’s Market prior to her retirement and was a longtime member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Corfu. Hilda will always be remembered enjoying life, smiling, dancing, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and extended family. Hilda was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and bowler. She enjoyed walking every day and playing cards with family and friends. Hilda was well known for her generosity and love of sharing her placek and pierogi with family and friends.

She was the wife of the late Henry A. Dylag, who died May 18, 2014 and mother of the late Henry John Dylag; sister of the late Charles (Rose) Guenther, Jane (Richard) Trykowski, Donald (Mary Lou) Guenther, Jack Guenther, Thomas Guenther. Sister in-law of the late Richard Nunz .

Survivors include her children, Linda (David) Yohn of Corfu, Donald (Joan) Dylag of Indian Falls, Michael (Shelly) Dylag of Attica, Jane (William) Bergmann of Clarence and Robert Dylag of Corfu. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Siblings, Gail Nunz and Robert (Sandra) Guenther and longtime family friend, Rose Marie Janik.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Monday (November 18th) from 4-8pm at the J. LEONARD McANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 32 JOHN ST., AKRON, NY. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday (November 19th), 10am at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish, 18 West Main St., Corfu., NY. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
