Connie was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She especially loved her role as "Nana". Her lively personality always brought laughter to friends and family. Connie's fun spirit was contagious as she loved being surrounded by friends and family. Whether she was traveling with her husband or cooking and entertaining for friends and family, Connie put love and warmth into everything she did. She will be greatly missed by many loving friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her loving husband; Anthony “Butch” Ficarella; daughter Toni Marie (David) Van Aernum of Churchville; son Nicholas (Nancy) Ficarella of Churchville; grandchildren Jason (Nikki) Van Aernum, Sara (Jordan) Van Aernum, Rachel (Tony) Pipitone, Nicholas Ficarella and Jessica Ficarella; 2 great-grandchildren Yara and Liam, along with many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday November 30, 2019 from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s) 18 Ellicott Street Batavia, New York 14020. A 12:00 noon Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation at the church. Connie will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
