Charles P. Pettinella

BATAVIA - Charles P. Pettinella, 91, of Rochester, formerly of Batavia, passed away Thursday, (November 21, 2019), at St. John's Nursing Home in Rochester.

Mr. Pettinella was born April 9, 1928, in Batavia, a son of the late Dominic and Theresa (Mastriano) Pettinella.

Charles was a member of Resurrection Parish and the former St. Nick's Social Club.  He was a true outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.  Mr. Pettinella served his country honorably during World War II with the Army and worked for many years at GTE Sylvania as a Television Repairman.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Mary (Owens) Pettinella of Rochester; son, Edward (Ann) Pettinella of Pittsford; daughter, Michele (Thomas) Worden of Pittsford; grandchildren, Ryan Pettinella of Pittsford, Cory (fiance Courtney Moore) Pettinella of Maryland, Paige (David) Bloom of Pittsford, Colin Worden of Rochester, and Harrison Worden of Pittsford.

Charles is preceded in death by his siblings, Louis Caiazza, Annette Versaggi, Dominic "Don" Taylor, and Angelo Pettinella.

There will be no visitation.  A private mass of christian burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Batavia.  Arrangements for Mr. Pettinella were entrusted to the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 E.
