GERALDINE CASSIANO ~ of Oakfield, age 87, died peacefully Thursday morning December 12, 2019 at her home. She was born in Aquila, Italy on November 19, 1932, to the late Tullio and Linda Centi.

Mrs. Cassiano came to America around the age of 8 and settled in Manhattan, working for dress designer, Oleg Cassini in NYC. Geraldine and her late husband, Quito were introduced and married on April 25, 1954, she eventually quit her job and they moved to Oakfield to raise their family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who loved to sew, cook and can for her family. Sundays were feast day for Geraldine, starting with breakfast before going to church, following church she would make pizza from scratch for lunch and finally prepare homemade soup, pasta with meatballs & sausage for dinner. She enjoyed canning and freezing fruits and vegetables, she would often sew outfits and dresses for her children and family. Geraldine will be forever remembered as a true inspiration to her family having passed on her beliefs and values that she instilled in all of them. “Mom, we love you very much and will never forget all that you did for us, you will be truly missed.”  

She is survived by her beloved children, Linda (Mike) Warboys, Nicholas (Judy) Cassiano and Deborah (Leo) Lynch all of Oakfield; grandchildren, Yvette (Justin) Blew, Brittany (Taylor) Burns, Todd Townsend and Jonathan Cassiano; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Trevor & Gabriella Blew; siblings, Linda (Mario) Maiezza, Eleanor (Nicholas) Marcattili and Anthony Centi along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Please join Geraldine’s family 10a.m. Thursday December 19, 2019 at St. Padre Pio Parish (Oakfield Site) to Celebration her Mass of Christian Burial. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery alongside her husband and memorials in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
