Esther M. Toal

Batavia - Esther M. Toal, 86, of Batavia, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing At Batavia.

Esther was born August 26, 1933, in Mt. Morris, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Jacobus) Zaso.

Esther was a cafeteria worker for Batavia City Schools and also worked at the former J.J. Newberry's in Batavia.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Toal of Batavia; children, Paula (David) Bromsted of Batavia, Linda (Richard) McSherry of Syracuse, Brenda (Steven) Grice of Culpeper, VA, Sandra (Robert) Hiscutt of Alexander, William Toal of Oakfield and Sheila (Todd) Shamp of Oakfield; a brother, Joseph (Jean) Zaso of Batavia; a brother-in-law, Donald (Betty) Toal of Nevada; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Batavia First Presbyterian Church, 300 East Main Street in Batavia, where services will be held at 5:00 p.m. also on Sunday.   Esther will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia.
