Throughout Dean’s working career he worked for the former Rich Plan in Perry and “Big M” supermarket in Caledonia as a meat cutter, Consolidated Natural Gas Co., Lamb and Webster, Perry Central School District and retired from SUNY Geneseo where he worked in their maintenance department. Dean enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, boating, camping, gardening, mowing yards, watching sports, especially hockey, football, golf and NASCAR or just working out in his garage. He especially enjoyed spending time with his 5 grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Marcia (Bzduch) Preston whom he married on Feb. 15, 1969, a daughter: Gina (Jeffrey) Chamberlain of Perry, 3 sons: Jeffery (Venus) Preston of Perry, Dean (Becky Pierson) Preston Jr. of Perry, Peter Preston of Pascoe, Wa., 2 sisters: Cindy (Stan) Kelley of Owasso, OK, Paula (Scott) Wolcott of Perry, 2 brothers: Charles (Sandy) Preston of Perry, Michael (Cheryl) Preston of Castile, 5 grandchildren: Jessica and Josh Preston, Dominic, Cameron and Hayden Chamberlain, father-in-law: Walter Bzduch of Perry, along with many nieces and nephews.
