Sharon A. Mattice

Stafford ~ Sharon A. Mattice, age 75, of Main Road, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, peacefully with her family at her side.

    

She was born March 2, 1945 in Batavia, N.Y., the daughter of the late Irving and Elizabeth Reid Ackley.

     Mrs. Mattice will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved going to cruise nights and car shows with her antique truck and was a member of the Lone Wolf Cruisers and Stafford Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  She worked for many years at the  LeRoy Drug Store, Sleights in Batavia, Wandryk's Supermarket, as well as UMMC as their Shuttle bus driver prior to her retirement.

     She is survived by her son, Robert (Susan) Mattice of Stafford, her grandson, Benjamin Mattice of Stafford; her nieces, Diane (Doug) Janes of Pavilion and Linda Ackley (John Woods) of Batavia,  along with several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

     She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Roger W. Mattice in 2010, and her brothers, Irving Ackley Jr. and Reid (Ruby) Ackley.

     Family and friends are invited to her Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, March 14 at 10:00 AM at the Stafford United Methodist Church.  Interment in the Machpelah Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either Meals on Wheels of Genesee County or the Stafford Fire Dept.
