William J. Renz Sr.

William J. Renz Sr., 88, of Batavia passed away on Thursday March 12, 2020 at Gateway House in Attica. William was born on March 25, 1931 in New Orleans, LA to late Fred (Gladys Cuevas) Renz. Mr. Renz is preceded in death by his wife; Josephine (Giambrone) Renz.

Mr. Renz was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Air Force and the Army during WWII and the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was always willing to give for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved children; William J. Renz Jr., Nancy Kustas both of Batavia; Diane (John) Cintorino of Byron; brothers Joseph (Leah) Renz of Brownsville, TX., Lou (Patricia) Renz of Kenner, LA.; sister-in-law Mary Giambrone of Oakfield; 2 grandchildren, Michael (Suzanne) Cintorino of Batavia, Matthew (Rachel) Renz of Churchville; great-granddaughter Arianna Cintorino, along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday March 17, 2020 from 4-7 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. A 12:00 Noon Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday March 18^th at Resurrection Parish 303 East Main St. Batavia, New York 14020. He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Batavia.
