Audrey C. Stopa

Audrey C. Stopa, 83 of Williamsville, formerly of Akron, passed away peacefully on Sunday (March 15, 2020) at Hospice Buffalo.

She was born February 17, 1937 in Alden, NY, a daughter of the late William and Grace Shelberg Kron.

Mrs. Stopa was employed by the WNY Swap Sheet prior to her retirement. After retirement, she found enjoyment in her fruit and flower stand she had at her home in Akron.

She was the wife of the late Michael J. Stopa, Jr.; mother of the late Charles Stabell and Joseph Stabell and sister of the late William Kron, Raymond Kron and Dorothy Mugel.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Pat) Stabell, Edward Stabell, Michael Stabell, James (Nancy) Stabell, Kenneth Stabell and Thomas (Dawn) Stabell.  Several grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Sisters, Florence DeWolf, Carol Simon and Ruth Dersam.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, with interment in the future WNY National Veterans Cemetery in Pembroke, NY. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at: www.mcandrewfuneralhomes.net.
